Support for Cancer Patients and Caregivers

On The House was established by Shawnda Mays, a two-time breast cancer survivor. Inspired by the challenges she faced while battling the disease, Shawnda founded this organization to address the lack of resources available. Although she benefited from a strong support network, she observed that many others did not have the same level of assistance. The organization launched in March 2025, and within its first five months, it served seven families, participated in the Adopt a Senior initiative, and will soon host its inaugural back-to-school giveaway. On The House is dedicated to aiding cancer patients and their caregivers by offering essential resources, customized care packages, and companionship services. We aim to accompany you during medical appointments and provide caregivers with opportunities for relaxation through spa treatments and other soothing services. Our vision goes beyond local support; we aspire to reach a global audience across various states. Additionally, we plan to offer transportation to medical appointments and financial assistance to help families navigate this challenging period.
